How Esthetology Began

Esthetology began with a personal frustration. Terryn, founder and CEO of Esthetology, once considered pursuing esthetician school out of a deep interest in skin biology and the transformative power of skincare. But during that exploration, a pattern became clear: many professional products relied heavily on fragrance, essential oils, and aggressive actives that were not designed with reactive or melanin-rich skin in mind.

If the products couldn’t safely support her own skin, how many others were experiencing the same exclusion?

That question became the foundation of Esthetology.

With a background in biology and a close connection to the esthetic community, the founder recognized two critical gaps. People with sensitive and melanin-rich skin were underserved, and many estheticians were navigating professional brands that often felt inaccessible, overwhelming, or disconnected from the real needs of their clients.

Esthetology was created to address both.

Purpose

Esthetology sells science-based, barrier-supportive skincare designed to be inclusive from the beginning. Each product is built to serve as a calm, reliable baseline that works across skin tones and sensitivities, whether used in a treatment room or at home.

Our deeper mission is to create a space where people with melanin-rich skin are a forethought instead of an afterthought. Inclusive skincare is intentional, requiring research and care. Esthetology is excited to do this thoughtful and intentional work.

We don't chase viral ingredients or race to the highest concentration on the label. We prioritize formulation restraint, using clinically appropriate levels that deliver real, visible results without compromising the skin barrier over time. Every formula is built to work with skin, not against it.

What We Stand For

Dermatological Equity

At Estheology Inclusivity isn't optional. It's a technical requirement. Efficacy must be proven across the full skin tone spectrum.

Formulation Restraint

Esthetology prioritizes "better" over "more." We refuse harsh concentrations that sacrifice long-term barrier health for short-term results.

Radical Safety

Esthetology is focused on barrier-first formulas, always. No shortcuts, no compromises.
